Help Mrs Munroe Rebuild After Hurricane Melissa

Donation protected
Hello Everyone,

This fundraiser is on behalf of Mrs Erna Munroe. This selfless woman has dedicated decades to serving others both as an educator at Mannings School for over forty years and as a community leader. She has supported countless students not only through teaching, but taking extra steps to provide resources for books, meals, uniforms, and guidance far beyond her official role.

In her Belmont community, she is a constant source of help — from writing recommendation letters that have aided numerous people in their job search to tutoring children who need extra support. If someone needs direction or encouragement, she is always the person they call.

Mrs Munroe's devotion and dedication to St Thomas Anglican is unparalleled. She is always lending a hand for whatever her church needs. She develops sermons, she rolls up her sleeves for every fund raising effort while still making her available to others who may need counseling and spiritual guidance- always with a kind shoulder. She has a way of showing up for people exactly when they need it, often before they ask.

Mrs Munroe has spent her entire life giving to others with humility and love. She is the kind of person who strengthens every community she is part of.

Hurricane Melissa’s Aftermath
The devastation of Hurricane Melissa has introduced a significant strain. The hurricane caused considerable damage to her home. The force of the storm tore the entire roof off the house, leaving every room exposed to the wind and rain. Because of that, most of her furniture, appliances, and electronics were soaked, damaged, or completely destroyed.

All of the windows were blown out, and the severe winds also damaged the electrical wiring throughout the house after nearby utility poles came down. The outside of the home was battered as well; the paint, fixtures, and parts of the exterior were ripped away by the storm.

The yard surrounding the house is now covered in heavy debris, branches, and downed electrical wires, making it unsafe to move through the property.

Right now, the home is largely unlivable, especially with no roof to protect it. The most urgent needs are getting the roof rebuilt, restoring electricity, and clearing out the large debris so repairs can safely begin. These are the areas the funds will go toward first, helping her take the first steps toward making her home safe again.

Any support you can give — no matter how small — will make a real difference during this incredibly difficult time for Mrs Munroe and her family. Every donation helps her take one step closer to rebuilding her home and her sense of security after losing so much.

We are deeply grateful for anything you are able to contribute, and we appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and kindness as she begins the long process of putting her life back together. Thank you for caring, for sharing, and for standing with her during this rough and overwhelming time. Your support truly means more than you know.
