Hello! I am starting a fund for a friend who has become near and dear to my heart. Her name is Mrs. Jefferson. She is one of two wonderful assistants I am lucky to work with in our Special Education classroom. She loves our students like they are her own and comes to work every day with a smiling face, even when things are hard at home.

Her husband is sick with stage 4 cancer, has recently been told he also has some heart issues, and now cannot work anymore after working for the same company for 27 years. Mrs. Jefferson works two jobs to support herself, her husband, adult children, and two young grandchildren, whom she also lives with. Her son has medical conditions that prevent him from working, and her daughter just finished school. She is the sole provider right now for her family, as they are waiting for some benefits to kick in for her husband.

We have all felt the weight of the changing economy no matter our current status, and they are feeling it extra right now as they have lost a whole income. She is about to lose her car, necessary utilities, and her home, as they have only received her paycheck and cannot make ends meet. I am asking you to donate whatever you can to help this amazing human and her family! Thank you.
