My dad, Anthony, or Mr. Hopper, depending on how you know him, has donated hundreds to thousands of hours to friends, family, and our local communities and organizations over the years. Throughout his 9 years of VEX IQ, he has taught robotics at Atascadero Middle School, San Benito elementary, and has helped train many students and teachers within the world of VEX IQ robotics, including myself. Without his help, many VEX IQ programs across the central coast would have ceased to exist or have no proper direction. Of course, my dad does more than just robotics. He has helped with handyman projects, feeding those in need, yardwork, running errands for people, cooking, and too many other things to list. He has always been one to give to others, but struggles to ask for help in return.
Within the next 1-3 years, my dad will be having multiple surgeries, in an attempt to save his right leg from a past motorcycle accident. Because of this, he will not be able to work, and bring home a regular income.
I am hoping his friends, family, community, and everyone else whose lives he has touched, can make a contribution to help him pay his bills while not being able to work. Once again, he is not the greatest at asking for help, which is why I am reaching out to everyone, with the help of one of the amazing robotics parents.
Thank you,
Preston Hopper

Hi, I'm Tori Keen. I'm a parent of a student who was in the AMS Robotics Club. Mr. Hopper encouraged my son to develop his skills in programming. Robotics was the one thing he looked forward to every Wednesday. Unfortunately, Mr. Hopper is unable to continue with the AMS Robotics Club because a few years ago he was in a motorcycle accident, severely injuring his leg. Ever since then he has fought this pain while working multiple jobs, as well as volunteering for AMS robotics club. To show our appreciation for all of his hard work, we would like to help him with his medical expenses. Any financial help would be greatly appreciated.
