Help mom get on her feet!

Update: Mom was just told she also has a thoracic aortic aneurysm and is being referred to a vascular surgeon

Update: She did have surgery on the 17th. It is a complex fracture. She had some screws and a plate put in. She is completely non weight bearing on the broken(left) leg for 12 weeks. That means she may be out of work for close to 6 months. She will be staying with me while she heals. The funds will go towards her bills while she can’t work.

The morning of March 15, 2025, my mom went to walk down to the basement and the entire basement staircase detached from the wall and she fell on top of the staircase. The fall was about 6 feet high. Thankfully, she is alive! However, she has multiple injuries consisting of a puncture wound down to the bone on her right leg that required 8 staples, skin tears on her forehead, and she broke her left tibia.

She is supposed to have surgery tomorrow on 3/17, and we will know more about the extent of the leg injury. The orthopedic surgeon already estimated to us it will be 10-12 weeks before she will be able to return to work. Like most of us, she can’t afford to be out of work for that long. ANYTHING helps whether it’s a few dollars, sharing this, and prayers. Thank you in advance!
