Hi, my name is Mohamad Saed Mahmoud — I’m a filmmaker with a deep love for storytelling and human emotion. I studied Political Science and Film at the University of Connecticut, and earned my Master’s in Film and TV Production from Sacred Heart University. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been obsessed with cinema. La La Land was the movie that lit the fire in me to become a director, and Quentin Tarantino remains my greatest influence when it comes to screenwriting — character-first, dialogue-heavy, emotionally raw stories that make you feel something.
Now, I’m asking for your help to make my latest film a reality.
This project is a deeply personal, independent movie I’ve written and will be directing — a grounded, character-driven story about a flawed man fighting to find peace in a world that keeps pulling him back into chaos. It’s about love, regret, identity, and the cost of self-destruction. Think Raging Bull meets Whiplash, with a gritty visual style and intimate performances.
As an independent artist, I don’t have a studio backing me — just a small team of passionate creatives and a script that we believe matters.
Your contributions will go toward:
Providing meals for our cast and crew (so everyone is energized and cared for during the shoot)
Securing authentic locations that bring the story to life
Lighting equipment to properly capture the tone and visual style of the film
Paying our talented actors who are bringing these complex characters to life
Hiring a professional stunt coordinator to ensure our fight scenes are thrilling, safe, and cinematic
Every dollar helps bring this vision to life and gets us closer to sharing a story that could truly resonate with people.
If you’ve ever been moved by a film — if you believe in helping young, passionate filmmakers get their voices heard — please consider donating or sharing.
Let’s make something real.
