Hi everyone! Our dear friend Miranda, has recently been diagnosed with a serious form of breast cancer. She’s only 32, just got married, and will be unable to work while going through immediately needed treatment including major surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation.

As you may already know, Miranda is one of the best, most tenacious, loyal friends you could meet. She is always there to help her friends, family, students and her beloved dogs. This is our opportunity to help a woman whose always helping others with our wallets! Let’s help her kick cancer’s ass, have some financial peace in all of this and get back to her life she loves so much! Thank you for your help!!

Please help her by financially contributing to her medical bills and loss of wages. It is most appreciated by her, her husband Jay and the community that loves and cherished Miranda so much!

A message from Miranda: As many of you know, I am a 32 year old newlywed who was diagnosed with breast cancer less than 3 months after our wedding. I went in for my annual exam and told my doctor we were planning to start trying to conceive in December, so she ordered a baseline mammogram. I'll forever be thankful that she did as I was quickly diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer (ILC and DCIS). Our plans have quickly changed from enjoying our newlywed life to this battle. This includes canceling our honeymoon and starting a family. The first step will be fertility preservation as soon as possible so that we can revisit our plan to have a family after this battle is over. Then I will have a double mastectomy with reconstruction, a small healing period, and then chemotherapy. We don't know if I will need radiation or not yet but, we will find out when I have my surgery. I was off work over the summer due to being a school-based employee then started a new job just 3 weeks prior to receiving my diagnosis. Therefore, I am not eligible for any programs through my job and have to take an extended step back for healing and to protect myself during chemo.
All funds will first go to fertility preservation treatment and anything above that will be put toward medical and household bills so that we can stay afloat.
