Hi Friends and Family!

As many of you know, my step Dad Mike has been fighting kidney disease for almost 4 years. His Kidney function is less than 10% and he is doing dialysis 3 days a week for 4 hours each treatment. It’s been a long road and an even longer one in front of him!

He’s been given the opportunity to go to Phoenix Arizona to try and get on the transplant list there! The California ones are VERY VERY hard to get on and after almost 4 years of trying, it still has not happened. We are holding high hopes that Arizona can help!

The start of this process is going to Arizona for 5 days for appointments and testing. They will evaluate him to see if he is a good candidate! Hopefully he will be added to the list! If they get the call, my Mom and Mike will have a short time to book flights and go to the hospital! After surgery, they will have to stay in Arizona for at-least 6 weeks for monitoring.

With this all being said, all this will not be cheap! Unfortunately, it’s not possible without the help of our friends and family. This is not a page we wanted to look for help on, but we are quickly realizing we need to!

Bills at home won’t stop during any of this, my Mom will have to take time off work. Lodging, food and transportation in Arizona, insurance does not cover.
