Hi, my name is Mike. I previously ran my own business, Home Away From Home Grooming. I felt it was successful and enjoyed my daily work.

In late April of 2024 my appendix burst. Additionally my intestine was nicked during surgery, and I was in the hospital for almost a month dealing with the results. On 7/4, I had additional surgery due to an obstructed intestine from the previous surgery. When I was released, one-third of my body was numb; worst of all, the right hand I used for work was affected. They thought it was Carpal Tunnel, but after more surgery on 9/11, my hand only became more numb. They haven't figured out my issues, but they haven't deemed it permanent, preventing me from filing for disability.

My business and my income have now been lost for close to 7 months, and the bills are piling up. Currently I'm in arears of $10,000 in mortgage but it will also cover other bills and food.
