This is my husband Mike. In April he had a back surgery to straighten his spine but something went terribly wrong and ended up being paralyzed from the waist down. His lung were stressed from 2 surgeries to try and fix the problem but was unsuccessful. We are working very hard to get off the ventilator which he has had for over 2 months. Once we complete that, we than have months of wound care from severe pressure wounds on his bottom. These wounds are so bad they have reached the bone from infection. We will have a very long recovery and alot of renovations to our home to accommodate his wheelchair. God bless you all.

The new of bed sores that must be treated after Mike is off the ventilator and Colonscopy done and colostomy bag the sores have to heal which will be weeks, maybe over a month to heal enough to maybe be able to come home after almost 3 months in the the hospital. He started working with his speech therapist today to learn how to swallow water and small chips. He's been feed through tubes until today. Thank you for your donations. They will help buy a wheelchair, a shower wheelchair, a transfer seat, many other medical equipment to care at home. We hope to start to save for a wheelchair van to transport home and other needs.
