Donate to Mike's Fight: Cancer, Dialysis, and Hope

My name is Tim...I have been a friend to Mike for over 30 years. You will not find a better person...one of those people who never hurts anyone and always does the right things. In any case, Mike was diagnosed with diabetes quite a few years ago. Despite always taking his medication and for the most part eating properly (we all cheat now and then), Mike still ended up with complications that resulted in him losing a couple of toes. That's not why I am starting this go fund me page, you will have to keep reading to get to that point. Moving forward, Miggy carried on and simply dealt with whatever was thrown his way medically...and he always has done so without any complaining. Just last October 2023, Mike went into full kidney failure. With that he has been on dialysis 3 times a week. Needless to say he had to stop working full time but being the solid person he is, he still worked part time when his health permitted. Again, this is not why I have started this go fund me page, keep reading please. Fast forward to the present day...on top of diabetes, kidney failure and dialysis Mike just received word that he has tumors on his stomach and lungs. The medical team immediately got a biopsy done and referred him to Dana Farber Hospital. He just started chemo at Dana Farber in Boston, MA. His schedule is brutal as he will be doing chemo 5 days in a row, he also has to have dialysis every day of the week now since the chemo causes other issues that interfere with the dialysis. He is on the schedule of 5 days of chemo, 2 weeks off and repeat that for 4 different cycles...very brutal considering dialysis wipes you out and chemo also wreaks havoc on your body. Once again, Miggy has remained positive despite being dealt quite a few difficult cards...a lot of people would have folded and given up but not Miggy, he keeps moving on without a gripe. Since kidney failure put him on disability and he no longer has full time earnings, making ends meet can be tough. Add in the cancer diagnosis and treatments that go with it and Miggy will undoubtedly find himself in a bad situation financially. Considering all that he is going through physically, any help that anyone can offer him financially would surely be greatly appreciated.
