Help Mike Speer Fight Small Cell Lung Cancer

In December 2024, our dear friend Mike Speer was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer—a diagnosis that shook his family and friends. Since then, Mike has faced this battle with quiet strength, determination, and the unwavering support of his incredible wife, Cheryl.

On May 29, 2025, Mike will undergo a major surgery to remove part or all of his lung. This procedure comes after months of intense chemotherapy, which has successfully reduced the mass enough for doctors to move forward with surgery. While this is a hopeful step, the road ahead is long. Mike will need a minimum of six weeks of recovery, followed by physical therapy to regain strength and function.

If you know Mike, you know he’s the kind of person who shows up—always. Whether you needed a hand, advice, or just a good friend, Mike was there. As a general contractor, he’s spent his life working on homes and helping others—now it’s our turn to help build him back up.
