Hi, my name is Kailee and I am starting this fundraiser to help my friend Mike Erickson with his medical bills and any other costs that may arise during this time of need as he will be out of work for the next few months due to a surgery he had on May 7th, 2025.

Mike initially had surgery due to issues he's been battling for years from Diverticulitis. After what should have been a routine surgery, Mikey developed a high fever and had a lot of bloating and pain, among other things, so they opened him back up and discovered a large hole in his upper colon (his fecal matter was coming out of that hole and going into the rest of his body, which could've killed him).

The doctors stitched up that hole and less than 12 hours later, he was being flown to Fargo to have a third surgery. The "repair" they had done in the second surgery was never actually repaired and Mike was very sick.

Mike will have to have a fourth surgery in July, and hopefully, he won't need to go under the knife for this issue again after that if all things go the way they are supposed to.

Mike spent 19 days in the hospital and didn't have any medical insurance during all of this. Not only are the medical bills piling up, but he won't be working for the next couple of months while he heals.
