Dearest Friends,
I'm reaching out with something I never imagined I'd have to ask for - funds for a new upper jaw and teeth.
I’ve recently been told I need a major oral surgery involving the removal of four teeth - a baby tooth, its 2 adjacent teeth, as well as an impacted canine tooth lodged in the roof of my mouth. The damage has gotten to a point where it can’t be ignored any longer and could be life threatening if not taken care of. The procedure also involves a significantly sized bone graft due to a hole in my upper jaw that has grown to be 2cm long x 1cm tall x 2cm deep. The procedure is very complex due to the size bone in my skull that I am missing as well as a large cyst surrounding the impacted tooth is pushing on my nasal cavity.
I've known about the baby tooth for some time now, but the severity of the situation was overlooked throughout the years as I was told that many people can live happy, normal lives with baby teeth. And the really weird thing? I'm not in any pain! Yet. I have been feeling pressure in my nasal cavity as well as a constantly stuffy nose which prompted the updated x-rays and CT scan.
I’m trying to stay strong, but the financial burden is overwhelming. I want to be as transparent as possible because I'm truly embarrassed. My ego just won't let me ask for help when I truly need it.
Today I'm choosing to remain humble and ask for help.
My procedure is June 13, 2025.
The surgery, cyst removal, biopsy, anesthesia, bone graft, and teeth extractions are $9,400
The remaining $5,600 is reserved for the bridge being made to replace my teeth providing the bone graft goes as planned.
In anticipation of this deadline, I am taking on side work to do what I can because this is happening to matter what. Daily updates and documenting my journey can be seen on my TikTok @tckitchenandbath - I will also be sure to update donors here with big announcements.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Your support—emotional or financial—means the world to me.
With love and hope,
Michelle
