Friends & Family,

I don’t normally do this on my page; however, I feel that it is important to tell the story of a dear and close friend, Michael Kratchmer. I have known Michael for years through the car industry as a detail, graphics & design guy. Many of you in the car world may have one of his decals on your car, or wall in your garage and you know he produces quality work. He was right there with me as we built and designed my first Corvette, Shake-N-Bake and he continued with me over the years in the design of multiple other cars. He’s been s a huge part of MAD Customs and is a friend to many in the Corvette & Custom Street Rods industry.

Michael is also an amazing chef and he’s known locally as a barbecue king! He’s funny, kind and goes out of his way to help people. Right now, he needs our help.

Recently he suffered a lot of health issues due to mold & asbestos discovered in his home. Through those complications, and multiple doctor visits and tests, it was discovered he has Stage 4 Esophageal cancer that has metastasized to his stomach and liver. He has a long battle ahead and unfortunately; he doesn’t have insurance and is being forced to move from his home.

I am setting up a GoFund Me to help with the enormous financial burden now and to come. All donations will go directly to help with medical bills, moving and living expenses as he is unable to work while going through treatment. If you can spare a small donation, anything will help. If you are unable to donate, I am asking that you keep Michael in your prayers for strength and healing.
