Help us raise funds for Michaela’s upcoming live liver transplant and donor

Michaela is a young mother of an active 7-year-old son. She lives in southern Maine but has chosen to work with the University of Rochester / Strong Memorial Hospital (NY) because of its expertise and excellence in performing this type of transplant.

Michaela is searching for a matching live (partial) liver donor. While insurance will cover the medical costs of the transplant for herself and her donor, the goal of this campaign is to cover the other expenses involved, such as travel, food, and accommodations for the time she, her donor, and the support team remain in the vicinity of the hospital before, during, and after the transplant.

Michaela was diagnosed with colon cancer in March of 2024. After a successful course of surgery and chemotherapy, the cancer is controlled and contained; however, it remains in her liver at this time. The goal is to remove that remaining cancer through the transplant and start a healthy new life chapter.
