Hello. I am Michael Brown's older brother Jack. Mike has suffered a life-threatening illness and was rushed to the hospital last Thursday July 3rd. After a touch-and-go 48 hours his doctors have let me know this morning he is expected to survive. He will need further hospitalization and intensive care and weeks of home care once he is discharged. Mike was working a job that did not provide medical insurance. The costs of all this and the impact on Mike's finances will be huge and catastrophic. I am hoping that Mike's friends, other family, former co-workers and others who know him will help him now. I am seeking just enough donations to see him through his first two months of living expenses after his hospital discharge. I am hopeful that in that two months social services support can be arranged to help Mike live going forward. Crushing medical debt will remain, perhaps forever. His immediate situation is desperate.
