Hi, I’m Kristina Horst. My daughter Mia has been at Nemours Children’s Hospital since 2/3/25, and was diagnosed with PJP Pneumonia, adenovirus, ILD, MDA5 antibody, while already having an autoimmune disease. She will be heading to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH in the next week or so to be evaluated for a lung transplant. We are hoping she will be eligible despite her having the autoimmune disease. This has been a much longer process than we would have ever anticipated and although I don’t expect anything, I know people have asked about wanting to help, so this way people can donate or share if they want to. I was very against setting this up at first because it feels weird accepting help, but this can help with any and all things associated with the hospital stay, medical bills, and any bills that don’t stop while being here.
