Update: Through the donations Melissa has received so far, she has been able to pay for medications and a couple smaller treatments cleaning her blood and detoxifying with ozone. She is still in need of larger treatments such as SOT and Truedose with the first round of treatments being close to 8k. We are close to being able to do a first treatment for bartonella which is 3k but the lab doing the SOT needs updated lyme and coinfection tests which could be another 2k that we just don't have.
Melissa is still struggling with extreme weakness and fatigue, neuropathy, joint pain and internal shaking/vibrations making daily tasks a challenge. There are many other symptoms that come and go and she never knows what will hit her from day to day ranging from bone pain, teeth and eye pain, muscle spasms, cognitive impairment and so many more. Her doctor is confident these treatments will be a huge benefit where she can get back to work and some normalcy of life. We would be so grateful and blessed with any added support.
Hello friends, family and kind-hearted strangers,
I am reaching out today to ask for your support for my daughter Melissa Evanoff. She is an amazing, young woman who is facing challenges that we cannot overcome alone. Whether you know us personally or have simply found this page by chance, your generosity can truly make a life-changing impact.
Her Story:
Two years ago Melissa moved from Kalispell, where she was born and raised, to Ennis MT. Needing a place to recover from two back to back car collisions resulting in severe whiplash and other back injuries, Melissa found healing here. Gaining strength, getting back to work full time and able to slowly reintroduce some of her outdoor hobbies, she was finally starting to get back on her feet. After fighting through these hardships she was hit with another heartbreaking medical diagnosis.
During the fall of 2024 Melissa’s health started suffering. By winter she became so ill there were periods of time where she was unable to get out of bed or leave her home. Thinking these bouts of sickness would pass, Melissa tried pushing through them but she soon realized something was very wrong. She underwent numerous tests for illnesses ranging from chronic fatigue,
fibromyalgia to Lupus and MS with no answers. Remembering a tick in her head earlier that summer, she had extensive lab tests resulting in a diagnosis Lyme, Bartonella and Tick Borne Relapsing Fever. Having friends and family members with Lyme, Melissa knew what this does to a body, how debilitating it can be and how hard it is to treat. It was a devastating blow.
Lyme and co-infections are tricky. If not caught and treated right away with antibiotics it can be a lifelong, crippling illness. Most people go on antibiotics for months to years and even then it is not always effective. Then there’s a wide array of supplements and binders that need to be taken as well which can be very expensive in itself. There are treatments out there though that are proving to be effective in ridding the body of Lyme or at least getting people back to a very normal life but they are very expensive nor are they covered by insurance. Such treatments include Ozone therapy, UBI (Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation), Truedose PRP infusions and SOT. The journey ahead is filled with doctor visits with specialists, ongoing supplements and medications, treatments and travel costs. While we are doing everything we can to support her, the costs have quickly become overwhelming.
Currently unable to work full time, medical debt is quickly adding up with monthly costs of an out of state lyme specialist, medications, supplements and bee venom therapy. (Yes, she stings herself with bees!!!) There are two doctors right here in Montana though that offer these other promising treatments mentioned above and that’s where we need your
help!
