Hi friends, family, and community,
I know this may come as a surprise to some of you, and I'm so sorry I wasn't able to reach out to every one of you personally.
Writing this feels surreal, but here goes...
Earlier this summer, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It’s the kind of news that stops everything. I just recently completed my surgery.
I wasn’t quite prepared for the long recovery and stretch of treatment that will keep me out of work and focused on healing.
As many of you know, I own a small children’s consignment boutique in Los Angeles, my third baby. Owning a small business means no paid time off, no safety net. At the same time, I’m a mom to two, Priya and Amara, who still need all the hugs, rides, help with homework, and tuck-ins, even on my hardest days.
We’re doing everything we can to stay grounded and positive, but the financial side of this is real. Surgery, treatment, time away from work, it all adds up so fast.
This isn’t easy to ask, but if you’re able to support us during this time, it would mean the world. Every donation helps relieve a little of the pressure so I can focus on what matters most - healing, and being here for my kids.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for walking this road with us.
With lots of love and so much gratitude,
Melanie
