17-year-old Meikhi Robinson was accidentally shot in the neck by his father in a freak accident on Sunday, September 21, 2025, in Brooklyn, NY. Meikhi is currently in the hospital paralyzed from the upper chest down. Meikhi has a long road ahead. In addition to being paralyzed, he has respiratory, eating, and hand mobility challenges. His mother, Vanessa (an alumnus of Xavier University of Louisiana, member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and a phenomenal mother of two) is doing her best to ensure all basis are covered in terms of her son's care. She is now the only parent working on Meikhi's behalf and has a very small family circle. After Meikhi's hospital stay, it is anticipated he will be sent to rehabilitation. Once he goes home, he will need round the clock care. This will be an expensive endeavor for Vanessa.
