I’m reaching out for any and all help for a dear friend of mine. She doesn’t like to ask for help, and she’s embarrassed to do so. But she is always helping everyone around her.
Yesterday, July 16th, my best friend Megan, attempted to commit suicide. By the grace of God, she is still here with us today. Megan is a recovering addict who has over 15 years clean and going strong. She does suffer with severe depression and anxiety, which on that I can relate to all too well. Megan is getting the much-needed medical help she needs but she will have a long road ahead of her.
She currently lives in an apartment attached to her mother's home but it’s not mentally safe for her to be there. She has no family other than her daughter, and new grandbaby. Her mom is kicking them out at no fault of their own. Megan’s daughter gave birth less than a month ago. So Megan, her daughter and new grandbaby are being forced out rather quickly. Which in the end will be better for Megan to get away from such a toxic environment. However, she was not prepared, in many ways.
Megan truly needs the community's help and prayers. She gives so much to anyone who needs it and helps anyone she can. But now she needs the help.
I'm asking that anyone and everyone who has struggled with addiction, or mental health, housing issues, or just having no support, to find it in their heart to help Megan, my best friend, to get back on her feet!
This money will be used to buy furniture, she has nothing but a bed and dresser. As well as help towards a first month's payment in a new place. She needs cleaning supplies, paint, food (poor girl barely gets to eat), help moving, gas to get to and from her mental health appointments. And anything else that positively contributes to her new life!
Please help in any way you can, even if it’s just 2$ or 5$. Even if it’s just a share. I will also be collecting gift cards for food, gas, and home stores!!!
Thank you everyone for your support.
