Matthew John Pietila, age 36, of Fenton, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Matthew met the love of his life, Megan, at church, and the two were married on January 19, 2019. Together they built a beautiful life and were blessed with four children — Brooks, Avery, Nathan, and Sophia — who were the center of his world.

He is survived by his wife, Megan Pietila; his children, Brooks, Avery, Nathan, and Sophia

He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing hockey, and spending time at the family cabins. Above all, Matthew cherished his family and the simple joys of being together. His laughter, loyalty, and faith-filled heart will be forever remembered by all who knew him.

Although Matt did not live to witness me run the 100 mile challange in support of his cancer fight I am committed to completing the challange. Please join me in either running, donating, cheering, or all three, please. All goes to Megan and the kids.
