Hello, some of you may know me, others may be coming across this fundraiser through mutual acquaintances, with whom a common interest is shared, to support Mayra J. in finishing her battle with breast cancer. We have known Mayra through her battle with breast cancer, we've known her as a friend, co-worker, and have seen her fight this battle with all her might and is at the tail end of getting her life back. What I can say is that Mayra is a person who has always put others first before herself and now it is time that we come together to help her.

Mayra was diagnosed with second-stage breast cancer on January 24, 2024; since her diagnosis, she has undergone two surgeries to remove the cancer, chemotherapy, and radiation; she continues to receive treatment and take medication to prevent recurrence. She has tirelessly fought this battle, and cancer has not kicked her down; she will be undergoing a double mastectomy on May 13, 2025. She has struggled but pushed through. We are raising funds to help Mayra with her expenses (rent, bills, food, basic needs, etc.) as it seems that all financial resources have been exhausted. Your donation will go directly to Mayra to help with living expenses, food, bills, and other basic needs. Our goal is to get through the end of June and allow her time to get her surgery, recover, and get back to working and living.
