My name is Danielle and I have known Matthew for 5 years now. He has been a CNA for over 30 years and ALWAYS takes care of others (even before himself). He caught a bad case of food poisoning. To others, it would be a few days of horrible symptoms. To Matthew, who had underlying health conditions, it was 10 days in bed trying to fight it on his own. By the time a welfare call was done and he was found in bed, he was taken to the hospital. He literally got there just in time; the doctor said one more day and he would not have made it. 30 lb weight loss in 10 days, 1 week in the hospital, and 10 lbs back on, he is going home with his parents to recover. He has a few weeks before even thinking about going back to work. He’ll have follow-ups, appointments, medical expenses, rent, and bills that need to be covered.

If anyone deserves to be helped, it’s him. He never asks for anything and will literally give his last to help someone else.
