Donate to Mary Murphy's Fight Against Cancer

MARY MURPHY MEDICAL

Mary Murphy is a professional at-home health aide/caregiver and community volunteer who has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Mary, a wife and mother of 4, tirelessly dedicates HER life to saving lives and caring for others, including her clients and her husband, Kevin, who needs dialysis 3x weekly and is currently on the kidney transplant list.

Now Mary is fighting a battle of her own: cervical, uterine, and possibly lung cancer, too. Her doctors are confident that an aggressive treatment plan of radiation and chemotherapy combined can be successful, BUT she will not be able to work. Mary must undergo 25 rounds of treatment, 5 days per week.

Mary has also been a dedicated community volunteer through involvement with the Plattekill Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary. She was a former president of the Plattekill Fire Department and has volunteered with these organizations for at least 4 years. Additionally, she has volunteered as a cheerleading coach for the town, and last year volunteered with the Wallkill High School Senior Celebration fundraising and event planning committee to keep kids safe and sober on graduation night.
