My name is Matthew Javillonar. I am arranging this GoFundMe on behalf of my mom. We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to support our beloved mother, sister, daughter, niece, and friend, Mary Ann Javillonar.

My mom is 57-years old, very loving, humurous, loves cooking, singing, and very caring to her children and grandchildren. She loves to cook for the community whenever she gets the opportunity, whether it's through parties, church events or just helping out a friend in need.

My mom is diagnosed with mitral valve stenosis and needs a mitral valve repair/replacement which involves an open-heart surgery. The mitral valve is one of four heart valves that controls blood flow in the heart. It's located between the upper and lower left heart chambers. This specific valve in my mom's heart is too narrow. This created high pressure to her lungs that caused damage which required her to be on the lung transplant list.

Worst case scenario: If the mitral valve surgery procedure doesn't go well or does not fix the problem she will have to do both heart and lung transplant.
