My name is Marti and I have a problem asking for help. I would rather push, pull or drag myself through whatever type of situation that requires asking of something from someone.

I am desperate and I have no other choice but to ask for assistance.

My story: Over two years ago, I started a very strenuous job that involves a lot of walking. I'm talking between 6-10 miles every day. This has caused bone spurs to develop on the top of my foot. One of which is directly under a tendon, so every step I take causes the tendon to rub on the sharp bone spur.

The surgery I need to have to correct the problem, will require me to miss at least two months of work. Even though I am part of the Union, they do not pay disability for under five years of employment.

So that brings me here. I am a single Mom, I have rent ($1500 mo) groceries, bills, car payment and all the other life expenses. I can not afford to take the 8 weeks off I need to recover, so I am desperate and need help with money to pay for medical, monthly bills and groceries while I recover. Anything you can give will help.
