As many of you know, I’m someone who loves life and always pushes the limits—sometimes a little too much! Whether I’m surfing, on the motocross track, at the skatepark, or working on technical design challenges like metal casting and graphics, I thrive on adventure and creativity. Over the past six years, I’ve been on an incredible personal growth journey that prepared me for the tough road I’ve been on for the last two years. That’s why I’m reaching out for your support.

Two years ago, I was told I likely had prostate cancer, just before leaving for a two-month trip to Colombia. When I returned, I started treatment and, in July 2023, had a prostatectomy. The cancer had breached the prostate, and the doctor was surprised it hadn’t metastasized—something I believe is due to a combination of alternative treatments and Western medicine. Thankfully, my PSA levels remain undetectable, for which I’m deeply grateful.

However, on the one-year anniversary of that surgery, I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma (tongue cancer). I recently completed 8 rounds of chemotherapy and 39 rounds of radiation as of September 24, 2024, and I’ve documented much of my journey on CaringBridge. This treatment has been incredibly challenging, with pain from sores, thrush, feeding tube complications, fatigue, nausea, and more, but through it all, I’ve remained grateful for the blessings I still experience.

I’m not someone who ever asks for help, and doing this is honestly pretty gut-wrenching for me. But at this stage of the game, I’ve realized that I need help from those who love and care for me. I’m seeking financial support to pay off lingering medical bills from my prostate cancer treatment, cover alternative treatments that insurance won’t pay for, and prepare for next year when I will need to meet my deductible again.

Any help would be deeply appreciated and would lift the financial burden this has created. I look forward to getting back to doing what I love: surfing, motocross, sculpting metal, rolling around the skatepark, and simply living life pain-free and healthy again.
