UPDATE FROM MARK'S MOTHER, SONYA: "Mark is in Skyline Medical center in Nashville. He is brain dead and has been since before noon or so today. He had a horrible bleeding episode at home in front of his nurse, Karen. He passed out 5 mins before the EMT got there, they worked on him for 50 mins before his heart started again. I learned about 4pm that he was already brain dead , he was bleeding out again had no chance at life and gave his doc permission to not use CPR or lifesaving efforts on him. He has never regained consciousness since. Karen is with him, so is DL, his cousin who stayed with him for 4 weeks. Our hearts are broken but we know this was the right decision. We will let you know when he passes and about the arrangements. We need your prayers so much right now. Sonya"

F*CK CANCER!!! Mark Anderson is a dear friend, passionate musician, and valued co-worker. He’s been dealing with throat issues for a few years now, losing his voice for weeks at a time, getting painful injections, and facing a frustrating lack of answers for the problems. Unfortunately, Mark recently discovered that cancer has been found and is the cause of his vocal issues.
