Help Me Support My Daughters as I Battle Glioblastoma
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
I never thought I would find myself in this position, but life can change in an instant. My name is Marissa, and I have recently been diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. As a mother of two wonderful daughters, Ellie 6 and Mia 3, my world has been turned upside down.
Glioblastoma is not only a physically and emotionally draining illness, but it also brings significant financial burdens. I am currently undergoing treatment, including chemotherapy, and facing the reality of preparing for my future—and that includes planning my own funeral to ease the burden on my family when the time comes.
Why I Need Your Support
As a mother, my greatest concern is for my daughters. I want to make sure they are supported through this difficult time and that I can continue to provide for them as long as I am able. Beyond the everyday financial strain, the cost of treatment, and planning for the future, I am asking for help to ensure my daughters are cared for and that I can prepare for what lies ahead.
Your contributions will go toward:
• Medical expenses for ongoing treatments like chemotherapy, medications, and any supportive care
• Supporting my daughters, ensuring their needs are met and that they can continue to feel secure during this challenging time
• Planning my funeral, so that when the time comes, my family can focus on healing rather than the financial burden
How You Can Help
I am asking for your support during this incredibly difficult chapter of my life. Whether it’s through a donation, sharing my story, or simply offering your thoughts and prayers, every bit of help means the world to me and my family.
My goal is to make sure my daughters are cared for, that I have the ability to focus on my health, and that I can plan for their future as best as possible. Thank you for being here and for any help you can provide.
With gratitude and love,
Marissa
Note: Even small contributions will make a big difference. Please consider sharing this Gofund me with others.
DECEMBER UPDATE: We had a follow up appointment for the results from the MRI done at Ann Arbor and we received some good news and unfortunately some bad news. The good news is that the small tumor that appeared a month after the main tumor completely shrunk!! Praise GOD
Unfortunately the bad news is that the main tumor that was first found has grew 3 times bigger and is now the size of a shampoo bottle. Marissa will start having weekly appointments to keep a closer eye on how quick this tumor is growing. Due to the speed it is going they will keep chemotherapy and radiation going for another month or so and afterwards we will discuss further options. And with a heavy heart doctor said that with the speed of the tumor growing they are giving her 6 months.
I am resharing her Gofund me once again and her and I and our family would really appreciate it if you could all reshare it as well♥️
