Hello all, I am the daughter of Maria V. Ybarra, Gabie Posey. I have set this up on her behalf.

In 2022, she had to have a heart valve replaced because she had mitral valve prolapse. She had shortness of breath and an irregular heartbeat. She always told me that when she was younger, she had a heart murmur, and her doctors were always watching out for it. A few years later in 2024, she had to have a pacemaker put in. In 2025 it got upgraded to a dual-chamber pacemaker that eventually got upgraded to another pacemaker with a defibrillator. For the past month and a half, she has been in the hospital with a new diagnosis. She now is in full heart failure and is in need of a heart transplant. The doctors have been evaluating if she was a viable candidate heart transplant. Unfortunately, as of right now, she is not, due to a newly developed blood infection from one of her lines. As a result of this, she will be in the hospital a lot longer than expected until they can get this infection cleared up. Once that is cleared up, they may reconsider her for a heart transplant.

To say all of that, this has shattered our family to the core. She has not been able to see her family or her granddaughters, who are 4 and 1. She misses them dearly and just wants to get better and out of the hospital. She wants to see them grow up and be around for them. This has been a very hard time for us all.

Our family needs help in this trying time with her medical bills, unexpected costs, living expenses, etc. Anything that you would be willing to donate would be beneficial to us.
