Donate to Marathon des Sables 2026 Legendary

During my first MDS Jordan event this year, I met Brett, he shared his story with me about how he lost his brother Aaron in 2008, when he was serving in the military and was killed in action.

It reminded me of the pain and heartache from losing my own father, in 1982 who was also killed in action.

Since then he has raised money to help local charities and former veterans in many different ways and I wanted to help. Now the crazy part is.......

I am now planning to raise money by racing the Marathon Des Sables with him and a few others as a team in April 2026, 220 kilometres across the Sahara desert.

The preparation will involve racing a number of long distance Ultra events like UTMB Ultra Trail Snowdonia 100K in May 2025, Edinburgh Trail 25k in September 2025, the sandy MDS Peru November 2025, before stepping up the training camp in early 2026 to get ready for the arduous challenge of the multi day ultra marathon in the Sahara desert.

It’s going to be a challenging, rewarding and special experience and I’d like to ask for your help to reach our goal to support Brett, his family and through the charity.
