Hello friends, family, and caring supporters,
My daughter Madelyne is just 10 years old, and she has already shown incredible strength. Right before her 9th birthday, she was diagnosed with severe S-curve scoliosis. Since then, she has worn a brace off and on for 18 hours a day in hopes of keeping her spinal curves from worsening. It has been uncomfortable and difficult, and at her age it’s also been very embarrassing for her to wear it to school and in front of friends.
Despite her bravery, the brace simply isn’t enough because of the severity of her curves. This October, Madelyne will undergo two major spinal surgeries, one for the upper curve in her spine and one for the lower. As you can imagine, this is very frightening for her, but she understands it is her best chance for a healthier, and hopefully a pain-free future.
Through it all, she has faced her diagnosis with courage and resilience. To encourage her and give her something joyful to look forward to after recovery, we want to surprise her with a trip to Disney World- something she has been dreaming about for years.
With the costs of medical care and everyday life, we simply haven’t been able to make this trip happen on our own. That’s why we’re reaching out and asking for support.
Our Goal: $7,500
We are hoping to raise $7,500 to cover:
• ✈️ Flights from California to Florida
• ️ Disney World park tickets for 3–5 days
• Hotel accommodations for the trip
• Meals and snacks for the family
• Transportation while in Orlando
• ✨ A few magical extras like souvenirs
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to making Madelyne’s dream a reality. If you can’t give, simply sharing her story helps more than you know.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Madelyne, for cheering her on through this difficult journey, and for helping us give her a light at the end of this very scary tunnel. We will keep everyone updated as she moves through her surgeries and (hopefully soon) her first magical Disney adventure.
Thank you with all my love and gratitude.
