Hello, and thank you for clicking this link!
My name is Madisyn Ruane, and I’ve been playing the clarinet since 4th grade. What started as a simple interest has grown into a deep passion that has shaped my entire life over the past 7 years. Through countless hours of practice, rehearsals, concerts, auditions, and dedication, I’ve grown not just as a musician, but as a person.
Now, that hard work is opening a door I never imagined would be possible. I’ve been invited to travel and perform across Europe through the Youth Music Abroad program, an honor extended only to a small number of top student musicians in York County, Pennsylvania.
Over the course of two weeks, I’ll have the chance to perform in world-class cities like Amsterdam, Brussels, Cologne, Frankfurt, Rothenburg, Munich, Strasbourg, Stuttgart, and Paris. I’ll be sharing music, experiencing new cultures, and learning from this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
This moment means everything to me. I’ve poured my heart into music as a member of concert band, marching band, symphonic orchestra, wind ensemble, jazz band, and musical pit. I also teach clarinet lessons and volunteer my time at the middle school, helping their younger bands grow and thrive. Music isn’t just something I do; it’s who I am.
But as much as I wish my clarinet skills could pay my way, it can’t. That’s why I’m asking for your help.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to this dream. And even if you’re not able to give right now, sharing this page means the world to me.
Thank you so much for reading my story and for supporting not just this trip, but the journey that brought me here. The trips total cost is about $6,000 and that's what I'm putting this money towards!
With gratitude,
Madisyn Ruane
