TLDR; Help Luna fight cancer--anything helps!
Last week, during a normal vet check-up, we found something concerning. Her six lymph nodes, which should have been soft, were as hard as golf balls. Then, we were given the worst news....
Our girl Luna was diagnosed with multicentric malignant lymphoma--a widespread, progressive, and deadly blood cancer that had spread to multiple sites in her body already.
To say we are devastated is an understatement.
To know Luna is to love her. Immensely sweet and loving, she has never met a person she did not want a belly rub from. She is the best hiking buddy, loves to show off her many tricks, and will not leave your side when you are sick. She means so much to our family and at 7 and a half years old, we have not had close to enough time with her.
We are not giving up on her.
The good news is that treatment of canine lymphoma with chemotherapy is often successful, with more than 90% of all dogs achieving complete remission (a complete reduction of tumors). Luna is eligible for chemo and will begin treatment right away.
That being said, these treatment are very costly--each session being upwards of 2 thousand dollars. All funds collected from this page will go directly to her medical care.
Any and all help you can provide to ease the financial burden of this treatment would be immensely helpful to our family during this time.
