This is being posted on behalf of my friend Katie and her newlywed Luke:

Our beloved Luke is facing the fight of his life. At 31 years old, Luke is immunocompromised and a diabetic, which has made him particularly vulnerable to the devastating effects of COVID-19. After contracting the virus, Luke's condition quickly worsened, and he is now battling severe respiratory distress in the hospital.

It has been two weeks since Luke was admitted, and while the doctors are hopeful, this is just the beginning of a long and difficult journey.

Before we got married in November, Luke's job went through a round of layoffs, and his unemployment benefits ran out right as he fell ill. This has left us with a heavy financial burden as we navigate his medical care and long recovery. With your support, we can focus on Luke's health and ensure that his recovery is not interrupted by financial worries.
