Donate to Luca's Life-Changing Surgery

Hi there!! My name is Maria and I’m helping my dear friend Luca raise money to cover the medical costs for his gender affirming surgery. I have had the pleasure of working alongside Luca and really getting to know him, and there is no one more deserving of our support than him! Hello all!

My name is Luca and I am about to undergo the biggest change in my entire life — for the better. This April I will be undergoing gender affirming surgery in order to increase my quality of life, as well as allow me to be more comfortable in my own skin. For years, I’ve been a prisoner in my own body, fighting to be free — with this surgery, there is no greater freedom I will feel. The mental and physical pain that I have endured over the past 25+ years of my life, is soon to be over, but I’m asking for your kindness at this time.

Undergoing these gender affirming surgeries are expensive and it will also take me away from work for 4-8 weeks. It would be wonderful to receive any bit of help I could get while I’m recovering. Any money we raise that goes over the surgery amount, and that will help us during my 2 months off, will be donated to various organizations that help fund transgender health. We would love to give back to The Trevor project & Planned Parenthood of Illinois in specific.
