Family and Friends,
Those of us that know Louie Castillo know that he is the light that lights up a room and is happiest when he can help others, but we find ourselves in a difficult situation, and now he needs our help.
Last year, Louie was diagnosed with Large-B Cell Lymphoma and was initially given a positive prognosis by the medical staff here in El Paso, TX. Unfortunately, his cancer has been resistant to 4 different regimens of chemotherapy, and his oncology team referred him to outside specialists in San Antonio, TX.
Before Louie was able to depart for San Antonio, he became gravely ill and was admitted to the intensive care unit at Providence East, where doctors worked to stabilize him. After a week, the decision was made to medivac him to San Antonio, where a team of doctors is attempting to treat him for multiple medical conditions that have transpired due to his low immune system and complications from the lymphoma. A group of oncology specialists would like to treat Louie with a promising new treatment option for his lymphoma, but this is very costly and will require him to stay in San Antonio for 3 months.
We are reaching out to all family and friends to help Louie during this trying time, so that he may receive this life-saving treatment and help him with the expenses of travel and daily needs while he's relocated in San Antonio, Texas. We ask that you please share this with anyone that can help and any contribution that you can make is greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much!
