Dear Friends and Family,
We are reaching out to you today to help our beloved family friend, Lorna Fike, as she faces a challenging battle for her health. Lorna is currently at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, undergoing crucial tests to determine her eligibility for a liver transplant. As expenses continue to pile up, her family is in urgent need of support for both medical and living costs.
In February 2025, Lorna received the heartbreaking news that she has cirrhosis of the liver. This condition is not a result of alcohol consumption, but rather due to hepatitis, which she contracted several years ago during her honorable service in the U.S. Military. Despite being undetectable since 2005, the effects of hepatitis have taken a toll on her liver, leading to her current situation.
Lorna is a pillar of our community in Lincoln County and beyond. She has dedicated her life to serving others as a Major in the U.S. Army, a minister at the Capitan United Methodist Church, an artist, and as the former director of Hope Harbor. She has also contributed her time and talent as a board member for the Nest Domestic Violence organization. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering spirit have touched the lives of many.
Now, Lorna needs our help. The financial burden of medical expenses, travel, and living costs during this critical time is overwhelming for her family. We kindly ask for your support through donations, no matter how small. Every contribution will make a significant difference in helping Lorna receive the care she needs and support her family during this challenging journey.
Thank you for your consideration, generosity and for standing by Lorna in her time of need. Your love and support mean the world to her and her family.
With gratitude.
