My name is Kimberly Gee and this is my dearest friend Lori Lawhead. I am starting this fundraiser to help her through this very tough time she is experiencing now,and will be experiencing during and after her surgeries.

In 2017 Lori was diagnosed with an invasive fungus called Aspergilloma. She was on oral medication to keep the fungus at bay with hopes to shrink and possibly get rid of it. Treatment was not doing what we had hoped. The growths are at an alarming size which have become life threatening. On February 3rd Lori will be having a Thoracotomy on her left lung to remove the upper lobe and part of the lower lobe. After her recovery from that surgery, she will have the same surgery on her right lung to remove the upper lobe. Unfortunately, there will be many expenses incurred such as copayments, aftercare and anything else during this difficult time. If you could donate, any amount would be greatly appreciated. She has a long road ahead of her and freeing her from financial strain would be one less thing for her to worry about.
