On August 10th, our 17 year old son was involved in a catastrophic motorcycle accident and suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and shattered hip/femur. He was admitted to the ICU in a comatose state.
With the many thoughts and prayers, amazing support of the wonderful staff at URMC, his friends, family and community he has slowly started to emerge from his coma, over a month later. He is now aware of his surroundings, can move his left arm and communicate ever so slightly with gestures but is currently unable to speak.
Next week he is being released to the Advanced Neuro Rehab floor to begin his new journey to learn to eat, talk, walk and regain his life back.
We are humbly asking for your support to fund Logan’s future needs including preparing our home for his eventual release from rehab. We need to make our home handicapped accessible and be able to provide years of therapy and support.
Logan is a true fighter and will pull through this! We have not asked for help until this point but as his care progresses we realize that we can’t do it alone. His mother has had to take family leave from her job to be at his side every day.

Logan is a strong willed, hilarious, smart and caring young man. He was a saxophone player in the school band and was pretty good with the harmonica as well. He was about to enter his senior year as a varsity football player. He was also an aspiring pilot who was actively working towards his future as a professional pilot. Logan is a truly amazing individual!
