Hello everyone, as many of you know and the rest that don't, April 2024 my son Logan, at the young age of 11 was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure (kidney failure). Over the last 14 months Logan has been through a lot. Countless blood draws, surgeries and dialysis. Luckily he was able to do peritoneal dialysis at home while he slept. As of April this year he was cleared to become active on the transplant list! Before he became active on the list we looked for a living donor thinking transplant would happen faster and we found the most amazing person to go through all the testing and was a perfect match, unfortunately it didn't work out. Once he became active on the list we expected it to be months before we got "the call". We surprisingly got "the call" on Sunday June 21st. Unfortunately we were not financially ready for that call but we packed up and headed to Detroit for Logans big surgery. We will be in Detroit Children's Hospital for another 4 to 5 days and then we will be staying at the Ronald Mcdonald house for a few weeks because Logan has to be seen twice a week for the first month after surgery, which means I can't work and there's no income coming in. I dont like asking for help but at this point we need a little help til I can go back to work full time. From the bottom of our hearts we appreciate any help we receive.
