**We surpassed our initial goal! Thank you so much for all the support!!**

At this point we would encourage people who want to help to please also consider donating blood or platelets to your nearest blood bank https://www.redcross.org/give-blood We are told by Logan's medical team that there is a national platelet shortage. If you donate--please let me know! I'd love to keep track of how many life-saving donations come in from Logan's community. Blood and platelet donations from strangers have already and continue to save Logan's life.

Background:
Our sweet little Logan was diagnosed with leukemia October 28. Our world has turned upside down and we are trying to find our way forward. Lots of our amazing friends and family have asked how they can help. Please see the options below.

This diagnosis came on very suddenly, just one month after Logan's third birthday we noticed he had been having some mild nose bleeds in the morning, and some easy bruising. I took him to the doctor on 10/27 and thought they might tell me he was anemic. They did a bunch of blood draws and the doctor called me Monday night when the results were in to tell me to wake Logan up (and his brother) and take him immediately to the ER (my husband met me there from work). More blood draws, spinal tap, surgery for installing a port, blood and platelet transfusions, chemo, steroids, and more. The hematologist oncologists have all been amazing here at Baystate Children's Hospital. We are in touch with Dana Farber as well for a second opinion, but we are told that the initial phases of treatment for this type of leukemia are the same whether we are in Boston or Springfield. We are in for a long road ahead, the oncologists tell us to expect at least 2.5 years of treatment if everything goes well.

We were released from the hospital 11/3/25. Logan and Axel had a beautiful reunion full of giggles and hugs. It was adorable. Logan is very happy to be home, though still experiencing pain and we're having some challenges with administering his many medications. The first outpatient treatment for Logan went ok but was pretty rough. He had another platelet transfusion, chemo, went under anesthesia for a spinal tap and more chemo into his spinal fluid. The second outpatient treatment went better, and Logan also did well with another blood transfusion in between.

Thank you and much love.
