Please support the cats and kittens of Little Lion's Cat Rescue in Birmingham, Alabama! We are a recently founded non-profit looking to expand our services for community cats in the underserved, historically Black community of Woodlawn.
We organized when a neighbor delivered a 2-week-old kitten to our front door, who we named Lion and bottle-fed, burped, warmed, and loved to health and happiness. The following week, we found three other abandoned kittens and brought them home to join Lion at our unexpected micro shelter. We also feed and provide shelter for the kittens' outdoor family: pregnant mom Holly Blue, nursing mom JJ, kittens Leyya, Socks, and Tabby, 1-year-old Rumi, Sir, and King, and their father, Big Papa.
We are raising money to provide:
- Cat food
- Flea and tick medication
- Topical antibiotics and supplements for our kittens born with feline herpes
- Vaccinations
- Spay/neuter services
- Neonatal kitten feeding supplies, including bottles and formula
- Heating pads for newborns
- Cat toys and bedding
- Educational materials
