Donate to Lisa Wellington's Final Farewell

My name is Chyanne and I am trying to help my little family as much as I can and hopefully this is the best way.

My mother in law Lisa Wellington passed away on October 2nd from a 8 month battle with stage 3 lung cancer. The treatment and cancer its self was just too much for her body. She kept getting pneumonia and sadly passed away unexpectedly. We thought we were headed in the direction of curing her and getting back to normal but all of that was stopped in its tracks on Friday September 27th at 10:30pm when her lung collapsed at our home and she was rushed to ORMC where she ended up passing on October 2nd. Our family was not expecting to lose her so fast. We knew she was sick but again we thought we were working toward curing her cancer. She did have a life insurance policy for herself if the time came but unfortunately she passed away within a 2 year window that Gerber Life insurance has to where they will not grant us the face value of the policy but will only get about 500 dollars back from them to cover her cremation. We were 2 months and a day shy of that 2 year period. Sadly when we went to the funeral home to set things up for her they told us it would cost 2,500 dollars for the most basic cremation possible.

We are a little family and we are living in this new world where everything costs an arm and leg for anything. We were not prepared at all to say the least. We are hoping by reaching out to anyone who knew Lisa or our family and is willing to help donate to her cremation we would be so grateful. If you are unable to donate that is ok too if you can share this we would appreciate it. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
