Today a group of rescuers was alerted to a sick and injured stray cat ("Buddy") found in Lancaster. Working together, we guided the good Samaritan who found him to Dallas Animal Urgent Care so he could receive immediate treatment.

Unfortunately, Buddy tested positive for several critical illnesses, and the most humane thing to do was to let Buddy cross the rainbow bridge. We chose the least upsetting photo we have of Buddy with the intent that he can be remembered as the beautiful, sweet orange cat he was.

We are raising funds to replenish our emergency medical fund so we can keep responding when the next animal needs urgent care. Every donation, no matter the amount, directly supports lifesaving treatment for cats in our community.
