Hello! I’m Lev, a 25-year old transmasculine person, and I’m scheduled to have top surgery in early October. Unfortunately, I can’t use insurance to help pay for this surgery, so I have to pay for it out of pocket. With the Trump administration seeking to restrict gender-affirming care for people of all ages, and many clinics complying in advance with the administration's executive orders, I’m hoping to get this procedure done before those restrictions are formally implemented.

During my surgery consultation, I got an initial quote of ~$6,500 for the procedure itself, but there will be additional costs for transportation, aftercare, unexpected expenses, as well as rent and bills (such as cat food for Cypress!) during my recovery when I will be unable to work.
