Hi, my name is Jennifer, and I’m reaching out to ask for help for my beloved dog, Lester.
Lester is a sweet, gentle 12-year-old senior pup who has been by my side through so many of life’s ups and downs. He’s more than a pet. He’s my best friend, my emotional support, and my family.
Just a few days ago, Lester became suddenly very sick. He was lethargic, couldn’t walk, started throwing up, and was passing black stool. I rushed him to the emergency vet, where he was admitted right away. After several tests, the vet suspects internal bleeding from a possible tumor. He was also found to be severely anemic and required emergency blood transfusions to stabilize him.
So far, his care has cost around $7,000, which has completely exhausted my savings. The next steps in his treatment include continued hospitalization, GI tract scoping, and a biopsy to determine what kind of tumor he might have and whether it’s treatable. These procedures are critical to figuring out how to help him, and they are expected to cost another $6,000 to $7,000.
I am heartbroken and overwhelmed. I cannot afford to continue Lester’s care without going deep into debt, something I am trying desperately to avoid. I want to give him the chance he deserves, especially because he’s still fighting and hasn’t given up.
Lester has given me 12 years of unconditional love, and I just want to do right by him in his time of need. Any amount you can give, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. And if you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would be just as appreciated.
Thank you so much for reading, for caring, and for helping me give Lester a fighting chance.
