Help Leah Heal After Brain Surgery — My Journey Back to Life
Hi everyone, my name is Leah, and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write.
A few weeks ago, my world completely stopped. What I thought would be a normal doctor’s visit turned into news that changed my life. A tumor had been found in my brain. I was terrified. Everything happened so fast — endless scans, hospital stays, and conversations filled with words I never thought I’d have to understand.
On October 30th, I underwent brain surgery to have the tumor removed. Thankfully, the doctors were able to take out every piece of it. And it was a benign tumor.
I’m still in disbelief some days, but I’m also so incredibly grateful — grateful to be here, to be healing, and to have been given a second chance at life.
Recovery hasn’t been easy. The pain, the brain fog, the emotional toll — it’s all been a lot to process. But I’m doing everything I can to stay positive and trust that this chapter of my life is leading me to something greater.
What many people don’t talk about is the financial side of recovery. Even with insurance, the hospital bills, follow-ups, medications, and time off work have added up fast. I’ve always been independent and proud to take care of myself, but right now, I have to admit — I need help.
This GoFundMe is to help me get through the hardest part of this journey without the extra stress of how to keep up with the costs. Every single donation, prayer, and share helps me breathe a little easier and focus on healing — truly healing — both physically and emotionally.
If you’ve ever supported me, prayed for me, sent a message, or thought of me during this time — thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your love and kindness have carried me through the darkest moments.
I don’t know what the future holds yet, but I do know this: I’m going to get through it, and I’m going to come out stronger, softer, and more grateful than ever.
With love and endless gratitude,
Leah
