Hello all, I'm Lauren Campbell and am needing some financial help to support me through my cancer treatment and surgeries.

I want to first thank all of you who have already been such amazing supports and helped us through this time, which has been unexpectedly longer and tougher than we ever expected. Many of you may already have been aware that me, my husband, and our sweet dog had been displaced due to mold and mycotoxins in our home in 2022. We both were sick for almost 2 years before we determined there was toxic mold. For 8 months we had to live elsewhere until we were finally able to have the home remediated and made safe to live. We were so excited to finally be back.

About 3 weeks after moving back in our home, I was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in my nasal passage that had started to grow towards my brain. I had 4 surgeries to remove the tumor and reconstruct my face. Then I had radiation with the hope it would cure me. I had 2 more reconstructive surgeries and began 6 month scans to ensure the cancer did not return. The first scan was clear, the next one was not. The cancer had returned and had become more aggressive, spreading to other areas and into the lymph nodes. It now reached stage 4 cancer. I had surgery again, and although most was removed it had metastasized and I have started both radiation and chemotherapy to try and ensure the cancer won't come back. I will also be needing more reconstructive surgery, physical therapy, speech therapy, and other specialists to help with the effects of the treatment.

We were just starting to get back on our feet after moving back home as the costs to live elsewhere and remediate left us just hanging on. We had already taken out a 2nd mortgage, a home equity loan, maxed out credit cards, and borrowed money in order to stay afloat up to this point. The medical costs were already high from mold-related health conditions for both my husband and I. And being a self-employed therapist, I have to work in order to get paid. I have had to take off so much time already. I have health insurance through my husband's job, but it does not cover everything and I need some specialized treatments as well to continue detoxing the mold from my system. Working has been more difficult than I imagined, and I anticipate that I will be needing to stop altogether for some time. Once my treatment is through, I will then have at least two major reconstructive surgeries on my face and neck where I had the tumors and lymph nodes removed. It has been so hard not only to go through this physically, but to also have facial disfigurements has just added to the emotional difficulty.

I know this treatment coming up is meant to cure me, and I believe it will. Donations will allow me to focus on getting well and not stress about lost income. This treatment will be more intense than I anticipated, and I know the side effects will be very challenging. And I'm told the side effects will worsen towards the end of my treatment and even get worse once I finish.

Please don't feel pressure to give anything, I understand everyone has their own things they are going through. We are very grateful in advance for your support and kindness and I will keep you all updated with my progress. Thank you more than I can express.
